OSU Cowboy Marching Band   
MB State Web The OSU Marching Band is one of the premier marching bands in the country today. Comprised of approximately 300 students, the "Spirit of Oklahoma State" combines the latest in contemporary show design with quality musicianship and a dedicated commitment to excellence. A wide diversity of majors are represented among the members of the Cowboy Marching Band which continues to entertain and impress audiences across the country through its appearances at home football games, away games with the Big 12, professional football games, and at such post-season bowl games as the Fiesta Bowl, Holiday Bowl, Alamo Bowl, and more.
OSU Wind Ensemble  
Wind Ensemble  The OSU Wind Ensemble is the premier performing organization in the OSU Band Program. Using a player-pool concept, the 50-member ensemble joins in various combinations to present the best in exciting and diverse wind music. Repertoire may range from a classical octet to a one-on-a-part performance of a major band work. Recent performances for conventions of the All-Japan Band Directors Conference, the British Association of Symphonic Bands and Wind Ensembles, the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles, the College Band Directors National Association, the National Band Association, the Sonneck Society, the Percussive Arts Society, Oklahoma Music Educators Association, and Kappa Kappa Psi/Tau Beta Sigma have earned the Wind Ensemble international acclaim.
OSU Symphonic Band  
Symph Band Web 2  The OSU Symphonic Band, an organization of approximately 70 musicians selected by audition, is made up of music majors as well as talented students from other disciplines. Exploring traditional large band repertoire, transcriptions, and contemporary works, the group maintains an active performance schedule. The Symphonic Band enjoys a fine reputation as a group committed to the highest musical standards.
OSU Concert Band  
Concert Band Web  The OSU Concert Band is a large ensemble comprised of talented music majors and non-music majors studying a wide array of disciplines on the OSU campus. Rehearsing in the spring semester, the Concert Band maintains its dedicated commitment to pursuing outstanding traditional and contemporary literature. The Concert Band provides its members with the avenue to share in the process of quality music-making throughout their college careers.
OSU Jazz Orchestra  
Jazz Orch Web  The OSU Jazz Orchestra is the premier performing group of the OSU Jazz Studies program. Highly qualified students are selected by audition for placement in the group at the start of each academic year. Instrumentation consists of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, bass, piano, drums, and guitar. All university students are invited to audition. Averaging 7-8 concert per year, the OSU Jazz Orchestra regularly premiers arrangements and compositions specifically written for the group for its on and off campus concerts and/or CD recordings. Averaging 2-3 guest artists annually, recent guest artists have included Christian McBride, Geoffrey Keezer, Gillian Margot, Wycliffe Gordon, Conrad Herwig, Bobby Shew, and Randy Brecker.
OSU Jazz Ensemble  
Jazz Ens Web  The OSU Jazz Ensemble is a preparatory group for the OSU Jazz Orchestra. In this ensemble, students focus on the fundamentals of big band styles. Performing twice per semester, this ensemble performs classic big band repertoire by composers/arrangers Sammy Nestico, John Fedchock, and Bob Mintzer, among others. Placement in the group is by audition at the start of each academic year. All university students are invited to audition. Instrumentation consists of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, bass, piano, drums, and guitar.
OSU Concert Chorale  
Chorale Web  Concert Chorale is an auditioned mixed ensemble of 44 singers. Comprised of majors from throughout the university community, it is the premier singing ensemble at Oklahoma State University. Chorale presents six main season concerts each year, records for music publishers, and hosts several guest conductors and composers each season. Past guests include composers Ä’riks Ešenvalds, Morten Lauridsen, Ola Gjeilo, and Matthew Harris, and conductors Jo-Michael Scheibe (University of Southern California) and Bruce Rogers (Mount San Antonio College). Concert Chorale toured France and England in the summer of 2013, and presented a concert in Carnegie Hall in March 2015. In 2016, Concert Chorale performed at the Southwest Division of the American Choral Director's Association in Kansas City. The ensemble is also planning a tour to Italy in June 2017.
OSU Chamber Choir  
Chamber Web  Chamber Choir is an auditioned mixed ensemble of 20 singers that perform three concerts in the fall normally in collaboration with the OSU Concert Chorale. Open to both music and non-music majors, Chamber Choir meets in the fall semester only. Their repertoire includes late medieval and Renaissance juxtaposed with music written in the last 25 years.
OSU University Singers   
USingers Web  University Singers, conducted by Dr. Christopher Haygood, is the largest choir at Oklahoma State University. With 75 voices of music and non-music majors, this exciting group performs two concerts per semester. In addition, they perform annually on the OSU President's Masterworks Concert with full orchestra. 
Cantamus Web  Cantamus is a women's chorus that represents majors from all across the OSU campus. The ensemble performs music from a variety of styles including folk, classical, Broadway, and jazz. The environment is quick-paced, fun, and nurturing. Cantamus has participated in exchange concerts with the Fort Hays State University Women's Chorus in Hays, Kansas, and with the University of Arkansas Women's Chorus in Fayetteville. The chorus' emphasis is on developing healthy vocal tone through fun and nurturing rehearsals. 
Statesmen Web  Statesmen is OSU's men's chorus, comprised of many different majors from across campus. Performing music from a variety of styles, the ensemble typically performs two concerts per semester. The ensemble combines a quick pace with stylistic variety and a fun atmosphere.
OSU Symphony Orchestra  
Orchestra Web  The OSU Symphony Orchestra maintains a dynamic and varied performance schedule that includes repertoire spanning the late Baroque era through the music of today. The Orchestra was recently selected as a finalist for The American Prize - College/University Category: a new national competition designed to recognize and reward the very best in the performing arts in the United States - in schools and churches, and at community and professional levels. In January 2013, the OSU Symphony Orchestra performed as an invited guest orchestra at the College Orchestra Directors Association National Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. Local performances include the Oklahoma Music Education Association Conference and high schools throughout the state. 
Chamber Ensembles  
Duo Piano  
Piano Duo Web OSU piano majors have a myriad of opportunities to perform with other student singers and instrumentalists, in duo settings and various chamber music combinations, throughout their degree programs. In addition, pianists may enroll in the Duo Piano course, exploring the rich repertoire written for two pianos or four hands at one piano. These musical collaborations build a broad array of essential skills beyond those learned in playing solo works, creating a well-rounded pianist with the practical abilities to succeed in the professional world. 
OSU Opera   
Opera Web  OSU Opera produces exciting, dynamic, and compelling fully-staged performances using period costumes and full orchestra - thrilling audiences of all ages. OSU Opera introduces both audiences and performers to a vast array of the operatic repertoire. Ample opportunities exist for both undergraduate and graduate students to build not only vocal technique, but also stage presence, make-up artistry, stage movement, and dance, all taught by dedicated professionals active in the opera world today. Other performance opportunities exist with the addition of Opera Scenes class, cabaret performances, touring opportunities, and numerous master classes recently taught by renowned operatic performers including Sherrill Milnes, Leona Mitchell, Kevin Short, Katherine Ciesinski, and Sarah Coburn. 
OSU Percussion Ensembles  
Perc Web The Oklahoma State University Concert Percussion Ensemble was formed in the Spring semester of 1988 with 18 members in it's inaugural performance. Since this debut, the ensemble has been committed to performing both current and classic works for the Stillwater, Oklahoma community. Guest artists who have performed with the ensemble include Steve Houghton, Ed Shaughnessy, Ney Rosauro, and Arthur Lipner. Other artists who have performed solo performances include Nancy Zeltsman and Double Image. In November of 1996, OSU was selected as one of two university ensembles to present a showcase concert at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in Nashville, Tennessee. This marked the first time OSU performed at this event. The ensemble was once again invited to perform a Showcase Concert at PASIC 2014 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
OSU Trumpet Ensembles  
Trumpet Ens Web Chamber music is an essential element of music education as players get an opportunity to play solo lines yet still work together as an ensemble. Thus, trumpet ensembles serve as an integral part of the curriculum. Ensembles vary in size and these groups play for campus, regional, national, and international events and competitions.
OSU Jazz Combos  
 DSC 0365 Jazz Combo is the chamber music of jazz. This small group setting provides more space for students to develop their improvising and learn standard jazz songs. OSU Jazz Combos perform 2-3 concerts per semester. Combo sizes vary from four to seven members.
